West Basin Municipal Water District, California (which is located in southern Los Angeles County) is planning to construct a 0.5 MGD ocean/seawater reverse osmosis (RO) desalination demonstration facility as part of planning/preparing to ultimately develop a 20 to 40 MGD RO desalination facility to augment other water sources including their existing advanced recycled water facilities with 35 MGD of capacity.
