Ultrafiltration is an effective method of treating wastewater so that it can be used as reuse water. This can also be considered pretreatment to treatment of the wastewater by reverse osmosis/nanofiltration membranes. Coagulant aids will sometimes greatly improve solid removal in the ultrafiltration treatment.
