This presentation covers brackish groundwater desalinationa pilot study. The study consists of four phases to evaluate three RO membranes (Toray, Hydranautics, and Dow FilmTec), two RO recoveries (85 and 90%), and multiple pre-treatment options (acid/antiscalant, raw water storage, and granular media filters). Permitting an RO membrane facility under these conditions is a significant departure from standard procedures.
