TIPS UF Membranes in Action: Immediate Performance Improvements and Enhanced Regulatory Compliance at 5 Reuse Facilities in CA

This presentation will discuss five (5) MF/UF membrane systems in California for indirect potable reuse that have operated with TIPS PVDF UF membranes. In some cases (WBMWD, OCWD, YVWD), existing membranes have been replaced using Direct RetrofitTM modules In other cases (MRWPCA, SMWD), TIPS membranes were selected for newly installed systems due to their unique performance benefits. An overview of factors impacting end-users? selection of TIPS PVDF UF membranes at municipal reuse treatment facilities will be discussed. TIPS UF membranes and direct retrofit module configurations are a major advancement in the membrane treatment space and have significantly improved plant performance and the ability to comply with new/upcoming regulations.
