In an attempt to restore estuarine ecosystems the Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department is evaluating the potential to use reclaimed water. Three treatment trains are being investigated nitrification-denitrification-MF/UF-UV/AOP-Ozone/AOP and two alternate trains including RO and RO and MF/UF. The selected design includes full advanced treatment including MF/UFand RO.
