Successful RO Project Experiences: Middle East & Australia (Fujairah & Perth)

Presentation summarizes two large seawater/ocean RO desalination projects, which at the time were among the five largest worldwide: 45 MGD (170,500 m3/D) Fujairah in UAE and 38 MGD (143,700 m3/D) Perth, Australia. Fujairrah is a hybrid RO and thermal, multistage flash (MSF) desalination plant that includes brackish water (BW) and seawater (SW) RO. Presentation includes project schedules, process flow schematic, discussions of intakes and pretreatment, finished water quality, and energy consumption results.
