A novel rotating flat sheet membrane bioreactor was introduced in the wastewater treatment market in 2002. It has since been installed in 20 municipal and industrial wastewater treatment plants. Compared to other MBR systems, the special features and advantages of this technology are low energy demand through sequential cleaning, low energy costs, simple and reliable operation, and reduced pretreatment needs.
