Maryland Environmental Service (MES) operates over 200 water and wastewater facilities throughout the State of Maryland. Among these are 11 membrane plants at facilities ranging from 5,000 to 900,000 GPD design flow rates for water and wastewater applications, with 3 more projects in the pipeline. The focus of this presentation is to collect and collate project information from 5 regions on topics including design, operations, procurement and project management approaches that have evolved with time and experience. The goal is to gather knowledge that is regionally dispersed and distill it into design guidance for future small membrane projects.
