Recycling and Reuse of Produced Water in Steam Assisted Enhanced Oil Recovery Systems

During the production of oil and gas, there is a significant amount of water produced during the recovery process. The ability to recycle and reuse this water in the field is of great importance and the paper will focus on methods used to make this happen. A variety of processes including membrane technology have been employed for treatment of produced water and they will be presented.
