Water Planet, Inc has developed PolyCera, a high performance ultrafiltration membrane for wastewater treatment that uniquely combines advantages of both ceramic and polymeric membrane materials. Domestic secondary effluent wastewater was treated to a level safe for reuse at remote oil & gas production camps in South Texas. This testing demonstrated how PolyCera membranes provided operating expenditure (OpEx) savings compared to PVDF of similar molecular weight cutoff while consistently producing filtrate water quality.
