Not Your Mommas Treatment Process

This presentation provides an operator’s perspective on the incorporation of microfiltration at the City of Mansfield Bud Ervin Water Treatment Plant. The presentation begins with an overview of the treatment processes and operating schemes at the facility. Next, training and operating challenges are discussed inclusive of strainer and membrane fouling issues. Solutions for the fouling issues are then described, and the presentation concludes with lessons learned.
