This presentation discusses the conversion of the City of New Baltimore Water Treatment Plant (WTP) from conventional surface water treatment to membrane filtration. The presentation begins with a discussion of the drivers for upgrading and expanding the WTP along with a history of the facility. Next, the water treatment processes are presented along with select design criteria. The presentation concludes with a summary of how existing structures were repurposed to triple system capacity while remaining within the original site area.
