This presentation covers investigation of manganese precipitation downstream of an ultrafiltration plant. Different oxidants and dosages for Mn precipitation were evaluated. It was concluded that ultrafiltration membrane does not retain Mn2+ but and it must be oxidized to MnO2 and precipitate before the ultrafiltration process.
