Innovative High Performance PVDF Flat-Sheet MBR Modules for Easy Operation and Maintenance

This paper discusses the development of highly efficient flat sheet MBR modules, which have superior advantages to conventional ones for thousands of small water treatment plants. In the study they develop MF Membrane specialized for membrane bioreactor technology, they also adopt a fine bubble diffuser for the efficient aeration of the membrane surface to save maintenance and operation cost for additional biological treatment. It could be concluded that the newly developed small height MBR modules combined with smooth-surface membrane and fine bubble diffuser had good performance and were suitable for application to small water treatment plants
