This paper will present the challenges and solutions to implementing low pressure membranes at the Dallas County Park Cities Municipal Utility District (DCPCMUD), plant that treats surface water from Lake Grapevine. The membrane start-up challenges and lessons learned from over two years of membrane facility operation are presented. The change at the facility was to be proactive with respect to future regulatory compliance as well as serve to provide an additional level of microbial protection.
