Implementing Universal UF Systems – Separating Truth From Fiction

This paper looks at four separate membrane filtration facilities where universal or semi-universal membrane skids have been incorporated, comparing design approaches, contracting approaches and plant operation with comparable facilities using proprietary membrane filtration systems. The paper also discusses the impact on construction at one facility which changed from a large area membrane element to a smaller area alternative shortly before facility start-up was scheduled to begin.
