Over tle last 7 years, a large research program has been initaed at Polytechnique Montreal to develop novel hybrid membrane processes (HMP) which combine high concentration PAC reactors with low poressure membranes. The conference will aim to summarize (i) the need for the devlopment of HMP for the water industry, (ii) the potential configurations oh HMP, (iii) the performance and issues related to immersed HMPs, (iv) the performances and issues related to separate HMPs and (v) the perspectives for the accelerated implementation of HMP in the water industry. This presentation will sumarrize the work of two PhD and three MASc students.
