Economics of Desalting

This presentation provides an overview of some of the challenges associate with RO Concentrate Management. It elaborates on the relationship between recovery and brine concentration and elaborates on how non-RO options have been selected only because of lack of adequate concentrate management strategies. A list of management options as well as an on-going pilot project to test some of the options is provided.
