The saga of planning a membrane softening (MS) / nanofiltration (NF) WTP in the Ohio central city of Marysville to augment an existing lime soda softening facility. Investigation of surface discharge proved not practical because of outside the zone average (OMZA) targets set by Ohio EPA. This necessitated designing and permitting deep wells for disposal of concentrate.
