The purpose of this paper is to present an overview on the current state of regulations regarding CECs with a specific emphasis on PPCPs. A literature review is provided on PPCPs in municipal wastewater and drinking water as well as the removal effectiveness of various treatment techniques. Results from the Town of Jupiter?s? on-going research effort to assess the occurrence of CECs and PPCPs in its source water, intermediate and final water products will be given
