This talk focuses on improving pretreatment for ceramic membranes. Coagulation pretreatment using a high-basicity PACl mitigates irreversible membrane fouling of the ceramic membrane and attenuates transmembrane pressure (TMP) increases more effectively than typical PACl and offers additional benefits including lower levels of dissolved residual aluminum and natural organic matter in the finished water.
Coagulation by novel high-basicity poly-aluminum chloride effectively reduces ceramic membrane fouling and residual aluminum
