In 2017, Brunswick County government and it’s citizens were surprised to find high levels of PFAS in their drinking water. The public utility participated in piloting multiple removal technologies and settled on LPRO as the best technology to protect its citizens and stop the spread of PFAS across the county. As the utility and the engineer (CDMS) moved full steam ahead with a design, one over arching concern was, could we get an NPDES permit for the concentrate discharge?
