Pilot testing was conducted at Sun Prairie Village County Water & Sewer District for a new water treatment plant to treat water from a local aquifer with very high hardness, sulfate, manganese and TDS. Extended testing of pressure filtration with different medias was required to provide adequate manganese removal prior to reverse osmosis. The pilot testing and subsequent full scale system design and start-up will be covered in this presentation.
