Application of Polymeric Ultrafiltration for Flue Gas Desulfurization Wastewater Polishing

Advanced wastewater process technologies offer power companies a feasible approach to compliance with national and state regulations. This paper presents alternative scenarios where an ultrafiltration (UF) process is applied after a biological treatment process to polish water prior to discharge. We present how the UF process enables the power company to meet and exceed the Steam Electric Power Generating Effluent Guidelines.
