This presentation is about a 2.9 MGD UF/RO project for the purpose of removing selenium from a mine-influenced surface water. It’s important because of the limited published work regarding UF/RO application for selenium rejection, and the use of an open-platform UF system in an industrial application, which is one of if not the first documented instances of its type in this sector. The perspective of an equipment manufacturer about designing systems to meet strict project criteria, like footprint, as well as specific performance standards, and it covers the collaborative nature of the project between the engineer, OEM, and customer. Additionally, a lot of complete operational data from the system is included.
