This paper describes the integrated biological/RO membrane treatment process, benefits of chemical free treatment on sustainable RO membrane operations for removing very high levels of dissolved organics (>20 mg/L DOC), assessment of upgrade options and construction approach/challenges in staging the construction activities while continuing potable water supply to SLCN residents.
