This presentation discusses the conversion of the City of Allegan Water Plant from a lime softening facility to a reverse osmosis (RO) facility for the treatment of groundwater. The presentation begins with a description of the alternatives evaluation, facility planning, and funding mechanisms for the water plant. Next the pretreatment and RO processes are presented along with select design criteria. The presentation concludes with a discussion of post-treatment processes.
